'The Flames Consumed Everything': Fire Destroys Central Jersey Family's Home, Fundraiser Says
A Howell Township family lost their home and pets in a "devastating" house fire, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page said the Glowzenski family's home of more than 30 years was destroyed in the fire on Tuesday, May 21. Howell police said officers responded to the fire on Woodstown Drive at around 3:35 p.m. Everyone inside the home got out safely and no first responders were injured in the fire. Pickup Truck Driver Killed In Collision With Garbage Truck In South Jersey
A 53-year-old pickup truck driver from Cherry Hill was killed after a collision with a garbage truck in Gloucester County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about noon on Tuesday, May 21 at Lambs and Glassboro roads in Mantua, police said. The front of the garbage truck struck the driver's side door of the Ram pickup, police said. The victim's name had not been released. The garbage truck driver was not hurt.

Heather Marie Owens died on May 17 after a courageous two-year battle with breast cancer, according to an obituary published by Bradley Funeral Home. She was 40 years old. She departed peacefully at Samaritan Voorhees surrounded by loved ones, her obituary said. A Middletown woman died after she was found unconscious behind the wheel of a vehicle, authorities said. Middletown police responded to the report of a vehicle that drove off the road near the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Collinson Drive at around 12:36 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, the department said in a news release. Four men and two teens were arrested in Atlantic City, five of whom were accused of selling heroin, cocaine, and Xanax, authorities said. Woman Shot In Salem: Police
A woman was wounded by gunfire in the City of Salem, authorities said. Police responded to shots fired on the 200 block of Wesley Street at about 11:15 p.m. Monday, May 20. They found a 23-year-old victim, Salem police said. She was taken for treatment at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
