An Atlantic County man accused of killing another man while awaiting sentencing will spend several years in prison on his original charge, authorities said. Kalief Lyons, 35, of Galloway Township, was sentenced on Tuesday, May 28 to 10 years in prison on a gun charge, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Two people from Atlantic City were accused of taking part in a drug deal, including a man who was found with heroin, cocaine, and Xanax, authorities said. Atlantic City police arrested 46-year-old Calvin Cross of Atlantic City and 41-year-old Angelina Cannon on Thursday, May 23, the department said in a news release. The National Weather Service says another round of thunderstorms is right around the corner. Wednesday, May 29 will start out sunny with a high of 78. Come the late afternoon, showers with "a few thunderstorms" and a chance of downpours are likely across New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania, the NWS says. Storms are expected to being around 3 p.m., with a higher chance of heavier rain in North Jersey than South Jersey. Toms River Man Stole Credit Cards From Vehicles, Made Fraudulent Charges: Police
A Toms River man was accused of stealing several credit cards from vehicles and fraudulently using them, authorities said. Kristopher Fudali was arrested after an investigation into three vehicle burglaries in the North Dover neighborhood between January and April, the Toms River Police Department said in a Facebook post on Tuesday, May 28.
