Snow: what?

All bundled up and no place with snow — at least not in North Jersey. Sure, heavy snow pounded the mid-Atlantic, fulfilling those “paralyzing” predictions by overwhelming travelers and road crews. A.C., D.C. and Philly got smacked with upwards of two feet or more. But along the Palisades, it was one long glazed cruller.

In fact, I hear tell the storm couldn’t deal with the construction on Route 78, so it hung a right and headed to the ocean.

So we’ve been spared the blizzard that’s walloping our southern neighbors. Roll back ino bed, secure in the knowledge that trees, power lines and weak roofs are still safe — at least for now.

For once, we can thank the weather that rolls down from Canada. In this case, a low elbowed the intense, northern-moving blizzard out of our way.

When all is said and done, parts of the Shore could get up to 20 inches.
