The 34-year-old was charged with DWI after police responded to a one-car accident on Route 9W in Palisades around 10 a.m. and found she had driven her vehicle into a tree and then a rock wall, causing heavy damage to the vehicle, police said.

While speaking with the woman, officers said they noticed an odor of alcohol and that she was having trouble standing. After failing several sobriety tests, she refused to take others, police said.

The woman was arrested and charged with DWI. She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 22.
