NYACK, N.Y. -- Nyack Hospital, which serves patients throughout the Hudson Valley, dedicated the Madlyn Borelli Multiple Sclerosis Center on Oct. 14.

Frank Borelli, a major hospital benefactor, and approximately 100 guests attended the event, which included a tour of the center and an unveiling of a portrait of Borelli's wife, Madlyn, for whom the center is named.

Nyack Hospital's original MS Center had grown so much over four years that it needed a new facility. Borelli's generosity made it possible to build the facility, designed and constructed to meet the needs of individuals with Multiple Sclerosis.

The Center offers five treatment rooms, a private nurse’s station, conference room, three private offices and a spacious waiting area and reception desk.

Dr. Jai Perumal, director of the Center, gave thanks to the Borelli family and all who have supported the center. She said “We have built this program from the ground up and it is so uplifting to see the progress made as we look forward to continued growth and expansion in the future.” She also said the center is making preparations to begin participating in clinical research programs.

For more information about the Madlyn Borelli Multiple Sclerosis Center about the hospital in general, see the Nyack Hospital website .
