Dunkin Donuts, for one, is offering a complimentary medium hot coffee when you purchase a medium or large coffee.

Prefer Mickey D's? You can get a free medium McCafé beverage when you download (or if you already have) the McDonald's app.

7-Eleven offers a similar deal. From Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, all 7Rewards members (or those who have downloaded the app) get a free coffee of any size — one a day if desired.

Starbucks, it should be noted, is not offering any special deals but is instead changing its signage to reflect the brand’s ethical sourcing commitments and coffee farmer support.

To support a locally owned shop, check out the coffee creations at past DVlicious contenders Kuppi Coffee Company in Edgewater, Ridgewood's Sook Pastry, Coffeecol Arepa Bar & Grill in Teaneck, Koffeewagon Roasters in Hasbrouck Heights, Stray Cat in Maywood, Sogno Coffee House in Westwood, The Fine Grind in Paramus and 2016 DVlicious "Best Coffee In Bergen County" winner Cool Beans International Coffees & Teas in Oradell.

In 2017, the DVlicious "Best Coffee" went to Glaze Donuts in New Milford.

And, if you haven't been yet, check out the new Wegmans in Montvale where you'll find a coffee bar serving nitro cold brew coffee on tap as well as "Favors of Fall" including pumpkin pie latte, pumpkin frappe freeze, and salted caramel mocha latte.

On Friday, The Buzz coffee shop will feature its 12-ounce brewed coffee for $.99 (the regular price is $1.75). FYI: Refills with the same-day receipt are only 65 cents every day.
