It details hiking, biking trails, climbing areas, and places to kayak.

"We'll do our best to keep you informed of news and adventure stories pertaining to activities in the park," the post says.

It will be where visitors can find information on events and happenings at the park, including places to stay, eat, and find entertainment in the trail towns of Suffern, Hillburn, Sloatsburg and Tuxedo.

In addition, the resources will post information on places to find yoga, massage and meditation in the area.

Daily Voice Community Advisor Alex Evans launched the social media marketing campaign about the park for the Suffern Chamber of Commerce in 2014. The park is the "second largest in New York State," and an ideal destination for novice and experienced hikers.

Suffern, at the southern most tip of Harriman State Park has the park's longest trail, the Suffern Bear Mountain Trail, she said.

Since managing the marketing for the Suffern Chamber, "visitor traffic" has increased.

'It's absolutely beautiful and serene once you hike your way in."

Breathtaking views for beginner and experienced hikers in any season and many trails from Suffern to Sloatsburg, to Tuxedo and beyond are all reasons to visit the park.

Evans established the Explore Harriman Facebook page to attract visitors to Suffern, she describes as "a trail town" and "quaint growing village."

"In promoting Harriman State Park and increasing visitors who will patronize businesses in Suffern, Sloatsburg and Tuxedo, we also protect our communities from large corporations that want to muscle in and build undesirable buildings such as the casino that was sidetracked," she said.
