The radar image above, from the National Weather Service, shows the storms pushing through from west to east just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Thunderstorms will be capable of heavy rainfall. Isolated flash flooding is possible, according to the National Weather Service. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and frequent lightning.
A Flood Advisory is now in effect for Rockland County until 9:45 p.m. Saturday. It does not include Westchester County at this time.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and warmer, with a high in the upper-80s.
Monday and Tuesday (Independence Day) will mainly sunny days with high temps each day in the mid-80s. There is a slight chance thunderstorms in the late afternoon or early evening Monday.
There is currently no chance for any storms on Independence Day.
