ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- A group of Nyack High School students went down to Bowline Point Park to help clean up litter from the banks of the Hudson River, according to lohud.com.

Volunteers across the Hudson Valley found all types of garbage while cleaning the banks of local waterways on Saturday, May 7, as part of the fifth Riverkeeper Sweep Initiative in New York, according to lohud.com.

Volunteers from Nyack High School were on hand to help the cause and searched for any sign of litter as part of a statewide Hudson clean-up effort, according to lohud.com.
