ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – A Tappan Zee High School honor student active in Pep Band, the drama ensemble and a host of other activities has been named the South Orangetown Rotary Student of the Month.

Ryan Fallon, who has participated in the past seven drama ensemble productions, is in being honored for the month of December, according to a statement from the school district.

Additionally, he is working toward becoming an Eagle Scout and has completed his required community project – the installation of a professional-grade welcome sign, flower bed and picnic tables at his high school, according to the district.

“Always willing to lend a hand, Ryan is respectful, compassionate and a second-degree black belt,” district officials said in a statement congratulating the teenager.
