Evelyn Wetz, 42, was pulled over after the police department received a report of an erratic driver and officers were able to track her down on Veterans Memorial Highway around 9:20 p.m., police said.
When officers approached the car they could smell a strong odor of alcohol and reported that Wetz had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, police added.
Wetz consented to a series of field sobriety tests, which she failed. She was arrested and charged with DWI. She later refused to take a breathalyzer test.
She was released and is due to appear in court on June 7.
