ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- A Pearl River woman, who police say they found passed out in her car at an office complex, has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
Orangetown police said they received a report around 1 p.m. Monday of an “unresponsive” woman at Blue Hill Plaza on Veterans Memorial Drive in the hamlet.
Mary Clifford-Mcintyre, 42, was found seated behind the wheel of her car, which was running, police said.
She was evaluated and cleared by medical personnel at the scene and then given a field sobriety test, which she failed, police said.
Clifford-Mcintyre was taken to police headquarters where she was found to have pills in her possession, police said.
She was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said.
All the charge were misdemeanors, police said.
She was arraigned, released to a sober party, and is to appear in court at a later date, police said.
