Three Caught With Stolen Car After Police Chase In Rockland

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  Two Spring Valley men and a third from Connecticut are facing possession of stolen property charges after being stopped while driving a stolen car on Tuesday, June 13, said Spring Valley Police.

The men, who took police on a brief foot chase after being stopped, were driving a car reported stolen in Stamford, Conn., last week, said police.

According to police, once officers stopped the vehicle, the men jumped out and fled through Memorial Park. A foot pursuit ensued with the suspects and they were apprehended shortly after by responding patrol units, added police.

The men were identified as Christopher M. Leiva-Molina of Spring Valley, Eric Manuel Ortiz of Stamford, and Jonathan Mazariegos-Figuroa, also of Spring Valley. 

All three were charged with resisting arrest, possession of stolen property and obstructing a governmental agency.
