The first arrest occurred around 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the Walmart after an officer noticed the man was drinking when he drove past his vehicle, police said.
The officer pulled over the 48-year-old Airmont resident as he began driving out of the parking lot. When officers approached the car they found an open bottle of vodka and the man appeared to be intoxicated, police said.
The man was later tested and his blood-alcohol level registered at 0.18 percent, more than four times the legal limit, police added.
He was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI and released. He is due back in court in June.
