Police Save Life Of Woman Who Overdosed In Rockland

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Ramapo police saved an Airmont woman's life on Thursday who had overdosed on drugs, said the Ramapo Police Department.

According to police, officers responded to a home in Airmont where they found the woman who was showing signs of an Oxycodone overdose.

Officers quickly administered Narcan to the woman who became more responsive after receiving a single dose, police added.

The woman was provided additional medical care by the Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corp and Rockland paramedics before being transported to Good Samaritan Hospital.
