ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - A 42-year-old Rockland man is facing additional charges after allegedly being busted with drugs and stolen property when stopped by members of the Orangetown Police Department who knew there was a warrant for his arrest.
Police arrested Luigi Depasquale of Pearl River shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17 after he was stopped on Blauvelt Road in Pearl River by officers who were familiar with him.
When Depasquale was arrested for the active warrant, police said he was allegedly in possession of Xanax pills, a stolen cellphone and a stolen credit card.
Depasquale was charged with a felony count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, as well as fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned and transported to Rockland County Jail in lieu of $3,500 bail. Depasquale is due back in court later this year.
