ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – A Patchogue woman was arrested by Orangetown police on Friday after she allegedly attempted to buy multiple cellphones with a forged driver's license, according to police.

Michelle Raynor, 41, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and fourth-degree attempted grand larceny after police were called to a store on North Middletown Road in Pearl River, police said.

Police found that she had been attempting to purchase about $2,500 worth of phones with the fake license, police said.

Raynor was arraigned and remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to police.

She will appear in Orangetown Justice Court on Tuesday, police said.
