"Det. Domitrovits is a dedicated officer who has shown a great commitment to his family, country and the mission of law enforcement in the Town of Orangetown. He is a well-respected and experienced officer," said Captain Donald Butterworth.
In his new position, Domitrovits will predominately be handling youth-related matters working with the schools, family court and dealing with troubled juveniles, Butterworth said.
He will at times also be handling criminal violations committed by adults and continue his work as a “field intelligence officer.”
Comitrovits started his career with the Orangetown Police Department in 2006 and is a U.S. Army combat veteran having fought in “Operation Iraqi Freedom.”
