PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- A Nyack woman was picked up by police on a variety of charges after she was accused of breaking into a Pearl River home and attacking a man inside.

Marissa L. Castie, 36, entered the home Thursday, attacked the man inside, causing cuts on his face and hands, stole his vehicle and attempted to flee the area, according to the Orangetown Police Department.

When stopped by Orangetown police a short time later, Castie was found with a white rock substance alleged to be crack cocaine, police said.

Casie is being held at the Rockland County Jail on $5,000 bail. She was due to appear in court on Monday.
