A patrol officer from the Orangetown Police Department stopped Thiells resident Alexandra Bourguignon for a violation of vehicle and traffic laws shortly before 3:15 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25.

During the subsequent stop, officers reported that Bourguignon’s breath smelled of alcohol and she had glassy eyes. After failing several Standardized Field Sobriety tests she was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. She was also cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and unlawful possession of marijuana.

After being processed, Bourguignon was released on bail and is due back in Nyack Justice Court next month to answer the charges.
