Nyack Man Charged In Ramapo Taxi Robbery

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo Police and the Spring Valley Police Department arrested a 50-year-old Nyack man on Tuesday, Feb. 16, following an investigation into a Ramapo taxi robbery that occurred in December, officials said.

Spring Valley police charged the unidentified man with robbery and assault in their jurisdiction. Ramapo police charged him with robbery and possession of a noxious material in conjunction with the taxi robbery that occurred in December 2015, police said.

In addition to the arrest, Ramapo officers also responded to 16 traffic accidents; 152 calls for service, and made four arrests for robbery, criminal possession of stolen property, obstructing governmental administration, petty larceny, and an arrest warrant, police said.
