Man, 30, Stabs Girlfriend In Rockland Domestic Dispute, Police Say

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 30-year-old man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, according to the Ramapo Police Department.

At about 8:28 p.m. Saturday, Ramapo police responded to a reported domestic dispute at a Hillcrest residence.

Upon arrival, officers were met outside by an unidentified woman bleeding from several small lacerations on her arms, who reported that her boyfriend had stabbed her, police said.

Officers provided aid to the woman as other officers located the boyfriend.

During the investigation, officers found the weapon and placed the boyfriend, a resident of Hillcrest, under arrest. He was charged with assault, menacing, obstruction of breathing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment. He is currently being held pending arraignment, police said.
