Dayson Ford, 22, was arrested after Clarkstown Police responded to the mall after receiving a report of possible fraud at the AT&T kiosk in the store, police.
According to police, an employee became suspicious when Ford tried using what she said looked like a fake New York State drivers license. Officers were able to determine the license was fake from its poor quality, different name and lack of security markers.
Ford was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument. He is being held at the Rockland County Jail on $1,500 bail. He is scheduled to return to court on Wednesday.
