NYACK, N.Y. -- A 20-year-old Middletown man is facing charges after police accused him of driving drunk in Nyack early Sunday, authorities said.
Matthew Ranglin was arrested about 4:45 a.m. after Orangetown officers said they spotted him operating his car in an erratic fashion and driving into oncoming lanes of traffic.
Ranglin smelled of alcohol and was also found to have marijuana in his possession, police said.
Ranglin refused to take a field sobriety test and wouldn’t take a breath test at the police station, police said.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; and unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under 21, police said.
Ranglin was released on his own recognizance and is to appear in Nyack Justice Court next month.
