PIERMONT, N.Y. -- After years of using the same rescue equipment, the Piermont Fire Department's High Angle Rescue Team is in need of new gear.

To help, the Tallman Pool & Beach Club will host a fundraiser sponsored by Procida Funding & Advisors on Saturday, Oct. 8.

The special evening will include a pig roast buffet from NoCo Grill , live music, 50/50 raffle and a cash bar. Tickets for the event will be sold at the door for $25 and additional donations to the cause are welcome.

The Piermont Fire Department’s High Angle Rescue Team was founded in 1999 to provide additional means to get people out of harm's way. The majority of the equipment that the team uses is dated from the time the team was created 17 years ago.

To ensure the safety of the rescuers and people that are in need, equipment needs to be replaced due to age and wear.

“This fundraiser will provide this specialized team with new ropes, rescue devices and personal protective equipment so the Piermont Fire Department can help keep our community safe,” said Billy Procida, chief executive officer of Procida Funding and Advisors, who was responsible for the $750,000 facelift that the Tallman Beach & Pool Club received in advance of the 2016 summer season.

The Tallman Beach & Pool Club’s state-of-the-art facility will be for private events through the end of October. For more information, go to https://tallmanpoolclub.com/ or call 845-422-7126.
