Washingtonville Grad, Project Runway Designer Mychael Knight Dead At 39

WASHINGTONVILLE, N.Y.  – Popular "Project Runway" contestant and Washingtonville Senior High School grad Mychael Knight died on Wednesday, according to media reports. Knight was 39.

Knight died outside of Atlanta surrounded by family and friends. No cause of death has been reported, according to CNN.

Knight was born in Germany but graduated from Washingtonville in 1996.

In 2005, Knight auditioned for the second season of the Bravo network reality television series, Project Runway, but he was not accepted as a contestant.

In 2006, Knight reauditioned for Project Runway, and this time he was accepted as a contestant for season three. Knight went on to win season three's Fan Favorite award and placed fourth in the overall competition.
