BLAUVELT, N.Y. -- Veronica Blaine, 82, of Blauvelt, died Sept. 13.
She was born June 2, 1934, in New York City.
She was raised in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan and graduated from Incarnation Parish School and Thorpe Academy.
After moving to Rockland County in 1960, she became an active parishioner in St. Catharine’s Church in Blauvelt, serving as a Eucharist Minster and member of the Altar Society. She also was a member of the Blauvelt/Orangeburg Senior Citizens Club and served on the Orangetown Senior Advisory Council and Board of Elections.
She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick.
She is survived by her children, Eileen (James) McCaffrey, Patrick C. (Lynne) Blaine, Roger (Laila) Blaine, Ann (Lance) Madson and Elizabeth (Andrew) Carolan; and grandchildren, Patrick J., John, Kathryn, Kristian, Sean and Daniel Blaine, Michael McCaffrey, Blaine and Brendan Madson, Liam, Gavin, Conor and Ryan Carolan.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
