NYACK, N.Y. – Tyrone Bryant Roberts Jr., a resident of Nyack, died Sunday, July 17. He was 31.
Born Feb.20, 1985, he was the son of Simanetta Dove and Tyrone Bryant Roberts Sr.
When he was 6 months ago, he was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. He surpassed every obstacle along his life. Despite his illness he enjoyed playing sports, riding bikes and fishing with his father. He loved any activity outdoors and any opportunity to hang out with family and friends.
He grew up in Nyack, and attended Nyack Public Schools until Junior High School. In 2001, his family and him moved to Garnerville. He attended North Rockland High School and graduated in 2004.
His death has given family and friends the opportunity to stop and realize how precious life truly is.
Visiting will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hannemann Funeral Home Inc., Nyack and from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the Living Christ Church, 151 S. Broadway, Nyack. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
