PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Theresa Frances Raleigh Moriarty, of Pearl River, died July 27, 2016. She was 59.
Moriarty worked as an area supervisor for Kohls in Nanuet. She worked there since 2001.
She was born Feb. 21, 1957, in Brooklyn, to Alfred and Ann Raleigh. She graduated from Brooklyn College in 1978, earning a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
On Oct. 17, 1981, she married Brian Moriarty at St. Andrews Church in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. They moved to Pearl River in 1988.
She was a former SEPTA co-president, an organization dedicated to children with special needs. She Moriarty will be remembered for her loving nature, patience and fortitude.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; four children, Brianne, Sean, Colleen and Kerry; and five siblings, Catherine of Brooklyn, Al of West Hampton, Va., Celine of Palm Coast, Fla., Margaret of Brooklyn and Michael of Washingtonville.
She was predeceased by her parents and Godson, Thomas.
Her funeral is at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Aedan’s Roman Catholic Church, 23 S Reld Drive, Pearl River. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Road, Airmont.
