ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- Ruth Decker Ingram, 89, of Orangburg, died Sunday, Jan. 1.

Ingram worked as a real estate professional in the county for many years before pursuing a career as a corporate relocation specialist. 

Her life’s passion was giving to the Grace Episcopal Church community in Nyack, where she took on many leadership roles; serving as the president of the Episcopal Church Women, the first female senior warden in the church's history and later as a Eucharistic lay minister.

She is survived by her three daughters, Joan Rothenay (David); Phyllis Ingram Fischer (Donald), and Liz Ingram Walsh (Christopher); grandchildren, Drew and Clayton Carrington; Elizabeth, Sarah and Katherine Fischer, and Meghan and Colin Walsh. She was predeceased by her husband; James C. Ingram.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Grace Episcopal Church Columbarium Fund, Grace Episcopal Church, 130 First Ave., Nyack, N.Y.  10960.
