NYACK, N.Y. -- Nona A. Forman, a resident of Nyack, died Thursday, April 14. She was 84.
She was born Aug.15, 1931, in Manhattan, N.Y. to Ruth Mayo and Presley Mayo.
She attended Nyack Senior High School, graduating in 1949. After graduating she entered full-time role as a homemaker.
She worked from home utilizing her office skills by tutoring children and assisted her children with school-related activities. Her continued study with the Jehovah Witnesses strengthened her belief in the promise of "The Resurrection."
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Forman Sr.; three children, Gerald Forman, of New Jersey, Bruce Forman (Hildegard), Maryland, and Alison Forman (Everett), of New York; seven grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Harvey Forman Jr.; and three siblings, Marguerite Brooks, Ida Washington, and Presley Mayo Jr.
Visitation will be Friday, April 22, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. 88 Broadway, Nyack. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial immediately to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
