TAPPAN, N.Y. -- Michael A. Zonneveld, of Tappan, died Dec. 14.
Born June 9, 1957, he was born and raised in the Bronx and attended St. John’s Elementary School and Fordham Preparatory School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He resided in Florida and worked for Lee Country for many years before retiring to New York to be close to his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother Johanna; father Andrew; and brother Stephen Zonneveld.
He is survived by his sisters Andrea Polihrom (Philip) and Ellen Emmert (Daniel); brothers John Zonneveld (Rosaleen) and Peter Zonneveld (Cynthia); aunt and uncle Patrick and Kathleen Shea; as well as cousins Patricia DeMarco, Christine Brown and Suzanne Shea.
He also is survived by his nieces and nephews, Katherine Polihrom, Alexandra Polihrom, John Zonneveld, Jeannie Zonneveld, Elizabeth Zonneveld, Christine Zonneveld, Erin Zonneveld and Michael Zonneveld.
There was a private cremation ceremony.
