Irene F. Mullins, 81, Of Blauvelt

BLAUVELT, N.Y. — Irene F. Mullins, of Blauvelt, died Aug. 15. She was 81.

She was born Jan. 28, 1935, in the Bronx to Pasquale and Anna Addessi.

Mullins graduated from Walton High School in the Bronx and graduated from Rockland Community College with a degree in registered nursing. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine’s Church in Blauvelt. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed spending time at Ocean Beach, N.J. with her family, as well as photographing her family.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Mains and her husband Steve and James J. Mullins and his wife Sharon; grandchildren, Robert Mains, Samantha and Alexis Mullins; sister, Nancy LaCava; many nieces and nephews; and her longtime companion, Power ‘John’ Wilson.

A funeral Mass was conducted at St. Catharine's Church in Blauvelt with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
