SPARKILL, N.Y. -- Dorothy M. Brophy, a resident of Dowling Gardens in Sparkill, died on Feb 25. She was 92.
Brophy was born in Garnerville to John and Marion Brennan on Aug. 19, 1925. She was a graduate of Haverstraw High School was an executive secretary for the Fellowship of Reconciliation in Upper Nyack.
She is survived by her children, Bernadette Dizzine (Patrick), Dennis, Lois Holcomb (James), and Brian (Donna); thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was held at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Tappan. Burial followed at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Haverstraw. Visiting hours were at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.
