PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – Angelina Nicolopoulos, a resident of Pearl Rivert, died Thursday, June 30. She was 91.
Born July 22, 1924, she was raised in Nyack, N.Y. She moved to Pearl River in the late 1950’s with her mother Mary, brother Alphonse and sister Carmella. She worked from early childhood with her father and volunteered at St. Ann’s and Nyack Hospital. In her later years, she worked for Orangeburg Pipe, Avon and retired from Lederle Laboratories after more then 20 years.
She is survived by her husband Nicholas; daughters Maria and Georgia; grandchildren Vincent, Tara, Nicholas, Gerald, and Ava; and sisters Louise Miele and Sue Whittaker.
A service of remembrance will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, 728 West Nyack Road, West Nyack. Burial services will be Thursday at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
