A 14-year-old boy has died after police say he fell through the roof of an abandoned hospital in Port Chester Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at the old United Hospital property on Boston Post Road.

The teen's identity has not yet been released.

A teen has reportedly been injured after falling through the roof of an abandoned Westchester County hospital, prompting an immediate response in Port Chester.

Police were dispatched to United Hospital on Boston Post Road on Tuesday night following multiple reports that a subject had fallen through the roof, reportedly down several stories of an elevator shaft, according to multiple reports.

United Hospital has been abandoned for more than a decade, since it shuttered its doors in 2005. News12 reported that the victim was a child.

The Westchester County Police Department and Port Chester Police Department both responded to the scene. Aviation units were dispatched in the area, while police were still on scene as of approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday night.

The condition of the suspect was not immediately available. As of 10:30 p.m. the situation was still fluid.
