New York State Police are on the hunt for a wanted 31-year-old man who attempted to give troopers a fake name during a traffic stop on the New York State Thruway.

State Police in Newburgh issued an alert for Ibrahima Barry, who is wanted on a bench warrant for false personification, dating back to an incident on April 29, 2014.

Police said Barry was traveling on New York State Thruway when he was stopped by troopers in Orange County. During the stop, he attempted to dupe troopers and was subsequently arrested on the charge.

Barry has been described as a 5-foot-8 inch African American who weighed approximately 150 pounds at the time of his arrest. He has black hair and brown eyes.
