ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – Nine communities around the Tappan Zee Bridge, including Orangetown, are going to divide roughly $1.5 million in state money aimed at improving their waterfronts, according to LoHud.com.

The money is part of a 2013 Thruway Authority settlement with the Scenic Hudson and Riverkeeper environmental groups, the story said.
