'Sexually Violent' Offender Reports Move Out Of Orangeburg

A registered sex offender convicted of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy has reported an address from Orangeburg to Dutchess County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Wednesday to residents regarding the residency of 29-year-old Justin Baker, who has moved to a residence on Rose Street in Poughkeepsie.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Baker as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense." He has also been designated as a "sexually violent offender."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Baker was convicted of first-degree sexual abuse for having contact with a victim less than 13-years-old in 2013 and sentenced to three years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie City Police Department.
