The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Wednesday to residents regarding the residency of 29-year-old Justin Baker, who has moved to a residence on Rose Street in Poughkeepsie.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Baker as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense." He has also been designated as a "sexually violent offender."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Baker was convicted of first-degree sexual abuse for having contact with a victim less than 13-years-old in 2013 and sentenced to three years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie City Police Department.
