NYACK, N.Y. -- After more than 30 years in business, with lots of birthdays, weddings and community events along the way, Nyack is saying goodbye to The River Club, according to a story on lohud.com.
Michael Hekker, the restaurant's owner, hosted a community party last week to say goodbye, and the doors to the River Club are now officially closed, lohud.com said.
The village owns the waterfront building and the news of Hekker's available lease is already spreading, lohud.com said.
The River Club weathered several tough storms over the years, and required major rebuilding after hurricane Sandy, lohud.com said.
The quick announcement comes just a few months after O'Donoghue's closed its doors.
The future tenant of The River Club, Nyack's only waterfront restaurant, is still uncertain, lohud.com said.
