PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – Protesters gathered outside St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan on Sunday over the suspension of Pearl River Monsignor John O'Keefe over allegations of abuse, according to News 12 Westchester.

The allegations date to the early 1980s, when O'Keefe was the head of Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx.

One man at the protest said he was one of a number of students abused by O'Keefe while at Cardinal Hayes, reported News 12 Westchester.

O'Keefe will not face charges, as the statute of limitations has run out, according to News 12 Westchester.
