PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- A new housing development is being built across from the Blue Hill golf course geared toward seniors who can afford their own homes but are just too sick of dealing with the upkeep, according to lohud.com .

The complex, named The Club, will include about 160 rental units, according to the report. It is set to be finished in the spring, and rents are expected to be about $2,000 to $2,500, according to the lohud report.

Lohud reports that such developments -- ones that cater to people over age 55 -- are part of a national trend that also is serving people in their 70s and 80s.
