ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Youth Bureau will offer a training session for non-profit groups interested in applying for funding grants through the state.

Beginning next year, the state Office of Children and Family Services has revised the list of services and supports it will fund through its Youth Development Program grants.

Any agency planning to apply for 2016 funding will need to attend a mandatory training session, said the Rockland County Youth Bureau Board of Directors.

The training will take place at 10 a.m. Sept. 30, at the New City Library. Instructions for completing the Concept Paper, which is the first phase of the application process, will be distributed and discussed during the meeting.

The Rockland County Youth Bureau Board of Directors added they have identified funding priority areas for next year and will continue to give extra consideration to the hardest-to-reach and highest at-risk young people.

For information, contact Marianne McCarney-Haesche at 845-638-5166. To reserve a seat for training, contact Suzanne McDougall at 845-638-5378.
