NEW CITY, N.Y. -- State Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) has issued a statement on Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s efforts to keep toll fees on the Tappan Zee Bridge fixed at $5.

Carlucci states:

“Keeping tolls affordable for Rockland and Westchester residents has been a major priority of mine since joining the Senate. Today's announcement from Gov. Cuomo of a financial commitment to keep tolls on the Tappan Zee bridge at $5 until the year 2020 is a crucial step toward safeguarding the economy of the Lower Hudson Valley.

“We must continue to work on long term solutions for keeping tolls down and I look forward to working with the Governor on those plans. Today's announcement is welcome news to the residents of Rockland and Westchester.”
