PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – Rockland County authorities are ready to investigate John O'Keefe, the monsignor of St. Margaret of Antioch Church in Pearl River, on allegations he sexually abused a child more than 30 years ago, according to LoHud.com.

The New York Archdiocese removed O'Keefe from practicing Mass on Friday, and Bishop Dominick J. Lagonegro, a personal representative of Cardinal Timothy Dolan, stood in for O'Keefe for Saturday afternoon Mass, LoHud reported.

The allegations date to the early '80s, during O'Keefe's time at Cardinal Hayes in the Bronx and on a trip to Virginia, as previously read by Daily Voice.
