SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Dr. Mary Leahy has been recognized for giving back.

The CEO of Bon Secours Charity Health System/Good Samaritan Hospital was named one of the honorees of Hudson Valley Magazine sixth annual Women in Business Awards

The awards pay tribute to a select group of female executives and entrepreneurs who were nominated by their supervisors, peers, and co-workers. Leahy, an internist, has been practicing medicine in Rockland for more than 25 years.

Leahy was named CEO of Bon Secours Charity Health System in 2013 and played a key role in facilitating the joint venture between Bon Secours Health System and Westchester Medical Center.

Leahy will be honored at a dinner on Dec. 7 in Wappingers Falls.
