Melody Patrick Joins Orangetown Daily Voice As Community Advisor

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Melody Partrick, Recreation Director for the Village of Nyack, is one of Daily Voice's community advisors for its Orangetown site.

Community advisors provide Daily Voice with tips for local news and events.

Partrick had held the post for the past three years. During that time she has worked to create after school programs for youth grades K-8 as well as several community events such as Earth Day Nyack, the September 11 Celebration of Hometown Heroes, the Witch Way 5K Costume Run and the Nyack Family Bike Day. 

She graduated from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 1991 with a BS in Marketing and a Minor in Communications. She served with the US Peace Corps in Jamaica from 1992-1994 working with the Kingston Chamber of Commerce in the Junior Achievement program in high schools. She was a USPTA certified tennis instructor in Colorado from 1994-2001. 

After moving to New York in 2001, Melody become the Assistant Tennis Director at the Saw Mill Club in Mt. Kisco. She has two children at Upper Nyack Elementary School and has actively been involved in various school programs as a volunteer.
