A crowdfunding page has been set up for the family following the sudden death of Marty Ceresnik, a 38-year-old Pearl River resident. Ceresnik was married to his wife Laureen and had two children, Marty, 7 and Jenny, 5.

As of Friday afternoon, the campaign has raised $23,300 from 119 donors. Ceresnik worked at LiquiTech and was an avid sports fan who loved to coach his children and go skiing, fishing or play baseball and golf. He was also a member of the Pearl River Elks.

"Please donate. This sudden loss has hit us all very hard," Joe Mele, who helped organize the fundraiser said. "Marty Ceresnik's life cannot be measured in years because he was taken way too soon. His impact on all of our lives is the true measure of his legacy. If you measure Marty’s life in the love he gave then he would have been a thousand years old. His life touched so many people and we need all of you to give as he did. I will miss you, Marty, you were the life of the party and our friendship was truly a gift that I will celebrate for the rest of my life."

Ceresnik's funeral is Monday at 10 a.n. at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River, N.J. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River.
