Schorr was recently inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame and will celebrate the release of her debut album on Manhaton Records in 2016 with a US and European tour. She kicks off her groundbreaking tour at Carnegie Hall, performing at The Lead Belly Fest on Feb. 4.
“Making an album is like building a pyramid in the dark. You know what you want to end up with, but you don’t really know what you have until there’s some distance and light," said Schorr.
Local tour dates include: Feb. 7 at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY; Feb. 12 at Turing Point in Piermont, N.Y.; Feb. 17 at Cutting Room in New York City; Feb. 20 at Stanhope House in Stanhope, N.J.; Feb. 27 at Brian’s Backyard BBQ in Middletown, N.Y.; Mar. 5 at 12 Grapes in Peekskill, N.Y.
