Walsh is an Irish-born actress, comic, writer and producer. She trained at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin under Joe Dowling.

She first came to the United States in 1991, after having the biggest crush ever on Warren Beatty.

"I used to carry a bag of his photos around everywhere, even on vacation," she said.

The show, very autobiographical in nature, describes what a young Irish girl is to do when she lives in a tiny community far away from the excitement of America.

"When I was a child watching television, the Americans always had beautiful hair, teeth and were always so tan," she said.

"In Ireland, at the time, the dentist made sure our teeth were good for chomping, but they weren't so concerned with cosmetics!"

Walsh, from an early age, knew that she wanted to be an actress. "I used to impersonate everyone, called "taking em off" in Ireland," she explained.

"I did a great impression of my dear grandmother trying to rise from a chair."

“Fiona will have you belly laughing right off your seat,” said Joe Brancato, Artistic Director, Penguin Rep Theatre.

"Great White American Teeth" first showed at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in 2004, and later debuted off-Broadway in fall 2006.
